WeMachines vs ClickUp
ClickUp's pitch is one app to replace them all, and it is true in the sense that it has a view, a field and a setting for everything. WeMachines is one app too. Ours has almost nothing to configure, and it has an AI that does the work rather than a Brain that describes it.
Settings
ClickUp gives you spaces, folders, lists, custom fields, a dozen views, automations, dashboards and a settings page for each. Teams spend their first weeks building it, and then someone owns the configuration for good. WeMachines has statuses, labels and topics. You open it and work. The one thing you ever build is an App, and you build it by describing it.
AI
ClickUp Brain summarizes, autofills fields, drafts text and answers questions about your workspace. It sits beside the work. The AI in WeMachines reads the chat, the tasks, the docs, the polls, the huddle transcripts and the recent commits, and then it does the work. Assign it a task and a cloud agent works your repo and opens the pull request you review. Press ⌘O and brief it by voice. Save a prompt as a command and run it on a schedule. It searches the live web for what the workspace does not hold, and it reads the instructions the team wrote and proposes new ones as pull requests.
AI models
Brain runs on the models ClickUp picked. We run on 200+, plug and play, with zero data retention, and each agent on the team can run on a different one. When a better model comes out we switch that afternoon.
Transparency
ClickUp has chat and DMs now, so it has the same split every chat tool has: the real conversation in a DM, the tidy version in the channel. WeMachines has no DMs and no private channels. Every channel is public to the whole team, agents included, so the AI never answers from half a picture and nobody has to be briefed.
Tickets
We never write tickets ourselves. The AI files a task from the thread that needs one, fills it in, and moves it as the work progresses. The Claude Code, Cursor or Codex in a teammate's terminal joins the same board over MCP, free on every plan, and shows up live in the sidebar while it works. Finished tasks delete themselves after 14 days.
Stitching tools
ClickUp replaces your tools with features you configure. We replace them with one app and an agent that builds what is missing. Apps are tools WeMachines builds and hosts from a sentence, with their own address and their own database when they need one. Routines run on a cadence or on a webhook and post the result into a channel. We spend zero time on development, hosting or maintenance for any of it.
Where ClickUp is ahead
Breadth. Whiteboards, time tracking, goals, a view for every taste and a price that packs a lot into a seat. An organization with many departments on many processes, and the appetite to configure a platform to mirror them, will get more out of ClickUp than out of us.
